Dear Parents and Cast

Attached is a pdf of the cast lists.  Please note that we took a very careful look at everyone's schedule while compiling this list.  Feel free to contact Jeanie if you have questions, however any switches between cast will need to be worked out with your opposite (the person on the same line as you).  Please review the characters assigned to you, as we will be calling actors to rehearsal by their character.  For example, if you are a "Jitterbug" you would come the rehearsal where "Jitterbugs" are called.  We will be sending out a slightly updated rehearsal schedule tomorrow to make all of that more clear.

So excited about all the good work being done so far!

We will post the cast list on the blog, but due to the blog format will need to post each cast separately.

Rehearsal reminder Sunday 1/28

Hello all,

A quick reminder of who is called and when for today's rehearsal (Sunday 1/28):

1:30pm-2:30pm : Scarecrow, Crows, Dorothy

2:30pm-3:30pm : Tin Man, Apple Trees, Dorothy

3:30pm-6:00pm : ALL

Scarecrows and Crows will have some down time between 2:30 and 3:30, so please plan accordingly with a book, homework, etc.

All actors please come to rehearsal prepared with a water bottle, script, and pencil. Be sure to wear clothes you can move well in.

Rehearsal update for today 1/21

Dear Parents, 

We realize that the snow complicates driving actors to rehearsal.  We are continuing to have rehearsal on a modified schedule (see below).  

1/21/2018  Updated schedule

Dorothys:  230p - 330p -- Music

All (no Witch or Glinda) 3:30p - 5:00p for Dance/music work

We realize that in some areas the roads may be worse.  We leave it up to parents’ discretion as to whether they can bring their child to rehearsal today safely.  If you don’t think you can make it or you start off and it is worse than you think - please call or text Michelle at 720-201-3351 to let her know your actor won’t be coming (no worries!).   We are shortening the rehearsal so that parents can pickup before the roads get much work and so that those who come a distance can perhaps hangout nearby instead of doing 2 round trips.  If anyone wants  to watch football today - you’re welcome to hangout at Jeanie's house - 380 Lincoln Ct (in Louisville near Louisville elementary) with Jeanie’s husband, Chris!

The change to rehearsal today, may mean some minor changes to rehearsal on the next two Sundays. Be on the lookout for updates for that this week.

Rehearsal Sunday 1/21

We had a great start to our show with a wonderful read thru on Friday night.  Many thanks to the parents who helped set up and clean up and brought yummy food.  A good time was had by all!

We are off and running on Sunday (tomorrow, 1/21) with our first real rehearsal.  Please check the rehearsal calendar for who is called.  All actors should wear clothes and shoes that they can dance in (soft sole, close toed shoes or actual dance/jazz shoes if you have them).  Please bring your own water bottle (best to put your name on it).  If you have not done so already, we also recommend that you put your name on your script and put it in a three ring binder.

Rehearsal Schedule

Hello all,

Below you will find the current rehearsal schedule for Wizard of Oz. Please note that all Sunday rehearsals are split into two entries and are listed in bold on the schedule. 

We are still fine-tuning the cast division to accommodate everyone's scheduling conflicts and other needs. We will be letting everyone know which cast they are in prior to the first split rehearsal on February 5th.

Please keep in mind that rehearsals can be subject to change. In the event of a change in the rehearsal schedule, we will be sure to give plenty of advance notice to anyone affected by the change.
